About The Author
Tony Baylinson was born and raised in the seaside resort of Margate, New Jersey. As a young man, Tony realized that he had a passion for learning about people and places far from his home on the Jersey shore. He began traveling at a young age. After completing his degree in Political Science at the University of New Hampshire, Tony began educating both children and adults in the mountain town of Aspen, Colorado, where he guided whitewater river excursions.

Tony’s first taste of Alaska was aboard the Pacific Scout, a factory trawler plying the North Pacific and the Bering Sea. After two winters of commercial fishing, Tony relocated to Fairbanks, Alaska and earned his teaching credentials. He taught upper elementary school for four years in the remote Aleutian Islands of Southwest Alaska.

In 1999, Tony accepted a position as Middle School Principal and Technology Coordinator at the Craig City School District on Prince of Wales Island. Tony has since joined the ranks of the PACE Statewide Correspondence School and works as a correspondence teacher and online course creator at the PACE Learning Center in Ketchikan.

Tony's interests include adventure sports and travel, historical literature, and the fusion of education and technology.
